Local-first, which you can feel
Your data is stored on your phone and the app reads from there. That is an architectural choice with an everyday consequence: no spinner while a server answers, and no dead app when it cannot.

Usable offline, once signed in
Every screen works with no signal, including adding people and logging reach-outs. Changes sync when you are back. The first sign-in needs a connection.

Backed up, not held hostage
Syncing exists so a lost phone is not a lost history. The app does not stop working if the server does.
